This role is based in Port Coquitlam, yet services the Sea to Sky corridor, therefore you must have the ability to travel as required (less than 10%).

This role requires a multi-faceted individual who is looking to start a career in sales. This entry level position allows you to get in at the ground level and work and learn the presentation phase of the sales process as well as the engineering and technical needs behind the solutions. This opportunity could develop into an outside sales position for the right candidate.

In this customer facing role the ability to interface professionally, genuinely, and effectively, is paramount. Specifically, you must be able to take the technical jargon from a technician and translate it into layman terms for the customer, both in print (via a quote), and also as a single point of contact for the client going forward.

Specifically, you will be successful in this role if you can:

  • Generate sales quotes and handle customer inquiries to help service customers and grow business.

  • Actively engage colleagues and resources to provide a complete customer solution and capitalize on opportunities.

  • Answer inquiries and offer product selection advice, including product features and benefits.

  • Price and prepare sales quotations.

  • Establish ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.

  • Maintain and expand the company’s database of clients.

  • Work individually and as part of a team.

  • Handle multiple customers simultaneously.

  • Close and guide customers through the sales process.

  • Absorb and retain product knowledge.

  • Proactively identify customer needs.

  • Engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their concerns.

  • Record and modify customer information within the database.

  • Support outside sales team as needed.

And you have:

  • Accurate data entry skills with minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.

  • Excellent decision-making abilities.

  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent listening skills.

  • High level of integrity and work ethic.

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in telephone customer service/inside sales support.

  • Strong multi-tasking, organization and priority setting skills.

  • Sampro experience (not necessary, but considered an asset)

  • High degree of responsiveness

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; minimum 2 years.

  • High level of Accountability.
